Communications & Event Specialist (part time)

The Chamber is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications & Event Specialist to join our team. This part-time role will support our marketing, communications, and event efforts by creating engaging content, executing marketing strategies, and promoting Chamber events. Key Responsibilities:

• E-Newsletter & Communications: Help develop, edit, and organize content for weekly newsletters via Constant Contact and across multiple platforms, including social media and email campaigns.
• Event Promotion & Support: Assist in promoting Chamber events through social media, email, and other communication channels. Write event descriptions and create promotional materials (posters, flyers, digital graphics). Provide on-site support for events.
• Website and Social Media Management: Regularly update the Chamber’s website using WordPress. Update content on all Chamber social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
• Database Management: Review and update the Chamber’s member database to ensure contact information and event participation data is accurate.

• Proven experience with digital marketing tools, including Constant Contact, WordPress, Canva, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube & Twitter).
• Exceptional writing and communication skills with an eye for detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms and marketing tools.

• Part-time (15 -25 hrs/week), flexible hours with the option to work remotely.
• Some evenings and weekends may be required for event support.

• $25 per hour
