WellAve Dermatology Opens New Annapolis Headquarters, Marking Major Expansion in Patient Care

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — September 14, 2026 — WellAve Dermatology today announced the opening of its new corporate headquarters and expanded Annapolis dermatology center at 2594 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD, marking an important milestone in the continued growth of the physician-led dermatology practice.

Located just minutes from WellAve Dermatology’s previous Defense Highway office, the new standalone facility allows patients to remain in the same convenient Annapolis area while providing a significantly expanded footprint designed to better serve patients and accommodate WellAve’s continued growth.

Importantly, the entire clinical facility is located on one floor, eliminating the need for patients to use an elevator to reach a fifth-floor medical office. The new design provides easier access for all patients, particularly those with disabilities, mobility limitations or other accessibility needs.

“This is much more than a new building for WellAve—it represents where we are going as a medical practice,” said Dr. Allan C. Harrington, Founder and Chief Medical Officer of WellAve Dermatology. “We have built WellAve around a simple principle: patients deserve timely access to outstanding dermatologic care. This new facility gives our physicians and clinical teams the space and resources to care for more patients while continuing to deliver the high standard of medicine and personal attention that have defined our practice.”

A MAJOR EXPANSION OF DERMATOLOGY AND MOHS SURGERY IN ANNAPOLIS

The new headquarters dramatically expands WellAve Dermatology’s clinical capacity and has been intentionally designed around three distinct areas of patient care: general dermatology, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology.

Each area has its own dedicated clinical space, helping minimize patient crossover and creating a more efficient, comfortable and private experience. The expanded footprint also provides WellAve with significantly greater capacity to accommodate patients while allowing each service line to operate within an environment designed specifically for that type of care.

The new facility includes:

• Six dedicated general dermatology treatment rooms, expanding access for skin checks, medical dermatology, biopsies and other dermatologic care.

• Six dedicated Mohs surgical rooms, more than tripling WellAve’s previous Annapolis Mohs capacity and significantly expanding its ability to provide specialized skin cancer treatment.

• Four to five dedicated cosmetic and aesthetic treatment spaces, supporting an expanded menu of services including facials, spray tanning, waxing, Red Light Therapy and additional cosmetic treatments.

• Three distinct patient-care areas for general dermatology, Mohs surgery and cosmetic services, minimizing patient crossover and improving clinical flow, privacy and efficiency.

• Single-floor accessibility, eliminating elevator dependency and making the office easier to navigate for patients with disabilities and mobility challenges.

• Expanded patient waiting areas, including a distinctive rotunda, additional seating and a coffee station designed to create a more welcoming and comfortable experience.

• Expanded on-site administrative support, including additional scheduling and billing staff to help improve patient communication and reduce congestion at the front desk.

The additional clinical space also positions WellAve to continue adding providers, technology and services as patient demand grows throughout Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and the surrounding region.

“For our patients, nearly every aspect of this move represents an improvement,” said Sheila Keppler, CEO of WellAve Dermatology. “We stayed close to our previous Annapolis location because convenience matters. But once patients walk through the doors, they will immediately see the difference. We have more space, better accessibility, dedicated areas for different types of care, expanded surgical capacity and an environment designed around the patient experience. Most importantly, this facility gives us the ability to serve more patients without losing the personal experience that makes WellAve special.”

GROWING BECAUSE OF OUR PATIENTS

The move to Riva Road comes as WellAve Dermatology continues to expand its footprint and services throughout Maryland. The practice provides general dermatology, surgical dermatology, Mohs Micrographic Surgery and cosmetic dermatology while maintaining a strong emphasis on patient access and convenience.

The new Annapolis headquarters will also serve as an operational hub for WellAve, bringing additional administrative, scheduling and billing resources together with its clinical operations.

“Growth only matters if it allows us to take better care of people,” Harrington said. “Every additional treatment room, every surgical suite and every improvement we have made to this facility ultimately comes back to the patient. We are incredibly grateful to the Annapolis community and to the thousands of patients who have trusted us with their care. This new headquarters was built with them in mind.”

WellAve Dermatology will begin seeing patients at its new Riva Road location on September 14, 2026.
