The Stable Strength and Conditioning Coming to Edgewater’s Main Street at South River Colony

Edgewater, MD – August 3, 2026 – Hyatt Commercial is pleased to announce that The Stable Strength and Conditioning will open at 189 Mitchells Chance Road in Main Street at South River Colony in Edgewater.

Hyatt Commercial Senior Vice President George Shenas and Senior Sales and Leasing Associate Collin Mercier represented The Stable in securing the location.

A Personalized Approach to Fitness

Local residents Alex and Annie Witkus founded The Stable to bring a personalized, community-focused fitness experience to Edgewater.

Alex’s diverse background includes Division I collegiate baseball, big four accounting, high level fitness competitions, farming, and family life. Throughout each chapter, he has maintained a strong commitment to health and wellness.

“The Stable was born from our belief that fitness should meet people where they are and help them reach their goals,” said Alex Witkus. “Whether someone wants to pursue athletic excellence, improve their heart health, or keep up with their grandchildren, we want to help make that possible.”

The Stable, a brand that has carved out its own lane, will tailor its programs to each member’s goals, experience, and lifestyle. The gym will also create a welcoming space where neighbors connect, families grow stronger, and members celebrate each other’s achievements.

“The Stable’s locally rooted mission makes it a great addition to Main Street at South River Colony and the greater Edgewater community,” said Shenas. “We were proud to help Alex and Annie find a location where they can bring their vision to life.”

Rooted in Anne Arundel County

Annie was born and raised in Annapolis and returned to the area after college. She and Alex later married in historic downtown Annapolis. Today, they raise their family on a farm in West River.

Their connection to Anne Arundel County inspired them to invest in the community that has supported their family.

“The Stable is more than a gym—it reflects the place we proudly call home,” said Annie Witkus. “Everyone who walks through our doors will become part of something bigger than a fitness program. They will become part of our community.”

The Stable plans to celebrate its grand opening this fall on October 3, 2026. The team will release additional details soon.
