Leadership Anne Arundel Announces New Board Members and Officers for FY27

ANNAPOLIS, MD (July 13, 2026) – Leadership Anne Arundel (LAA), the premier community leadership training and networking institute in Anne Arundel County, has announced the following new Board members and their Flagship program year (FLG##), beginning their terms on July 1, 2026:
 
Edward J. (EJ) Amyot Jr. – FLG17
Director of Development, Annapolis Life Care, Inc. / Ginger Cove
Edward J. (EJ) Amyot Jr. is Director of Development for Annapolis Life Care, Inc. / Ginger Cove, where he leads philanthropic strategy for the Ginger Cove Foundation, supporting benevolent care, resident-centered initiatives, workforce investment, and long-term organizational sustainability. A nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience, EJ has held executive roles with the Chesapeake Conservancy, including Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, as well as senior leadership positions with the YMCA. Throughout his career, he has specialized in organizational leadership, philanthropy, and strategic growth for mission-driven organizations. A graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel's Flagship Class of 2017, EJ is also a member of the Rotary Club of Annapolis and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland.
 
Brian S. Burkett – FLG23

Brian S. Burkett is a partner with McKenna | Russo | Livingston | Burkett | Burgy, where he focuses on commercial, real estate, and business law, as well as civil litigation. He advises businesses and individuals on business formation, commercial transactions, real estate matters, and litigation, providing practical legal guidance tailored to his clients' goals. Before entering private practice, Brian held management and business development roles in the healthcare and financial services industries, experience that informs his strategic approach to serving clients. He earned his law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a bachelor's degree from Purdue University. Brian is a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel's Flagship Class of 2023.
 
 
 
Peter De Angelo – FLG24
Managing Director | Principal Fractional CFO, CFO Advisory LLC
Peter De Angelo is Managing Director and Principal Fractional CFO of CFO Advisory LLC, where he provides strategic financial leadership to growth-oriented businesses. Throughout his career, Peter has served in senior executive roles focused on finance, operations, and organizational strategy, helping entrepreneurial companies strengthen financial performance and sustainable growth. A graduate of Villanova University and the University of Maryland Global Campus, Peter has been an active community leader in Anne Arundel County for more than 30 years, serving in leadership roles with numerous nonprofit organizations. He currently serves on the Board of the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, where he chairs the Governance Committee. A graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel's Flagship Class of 2024, Peter is a lifetime member and committed advocate for developing community leadership.
 
Patrick "Pat" Murray, CPA – FLG09
Director, Platform CPAs, LLP
Patrick "Pat" Murray, CPA, is a Director with Platform CPAs, LLP, where he leads the firm's audit and attestation practice, serving nonprofit organizations, labor unions, employee benefit plans, and other clients. A Certified Public Accountant licensed in Maryland, Pat brings extensive experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and organizational governance. Before joining Platform CPAs, he was a partner with Toal, Murray, Day & Lalor, CPAs. Pat holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting and financial management and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel's Flagship Class of 2009, he has previously served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and is a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County.
