Hyatt Commercial Represents Buyer in $2.6 Million Ellicott City Acquisition

Planned expansion will create approximately 10,030 square feet of automotive and retail space along Baltimore National Pike

Ellicott City, MD – July 23, 2026 – Hyatt Commercial is pleased to announce the $2.6 million sale of 9438 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, Maryland. Cecil Cummins and Eric Pinkett of Hyatt Commercial represented the buyer, BNP Developers, LLC. The transaction settled on July 17, 2026.

Planned Expansion and Renovation

The property currently features an approximately 5,000-square-foot building, where Midas operates as the existing tenant. BNP Developers acquired the site with preliminary approvals for an approximately 5,030-square-foot addition behind the building.

Once construction is complete, the property will total approximately 10,030 square feet. Midas plans to relocate its operations to the new rear portion. Meanwhile, the ownership group plans to renovate the existing front portion for future retail use.

“This acquisition gives BNP Developers an opportunity to reposition an existing property while adding new retail space along one of Howard County’s most active commercial corridors,” said Cummins. “Additionally, the preliminary approvals provide a strong foundation for the property’s next phase.”

Positioned Along an Active Retail Corridor

The property offers direct frontage along Baltimore National Pike. Moreover, approximately 47,000 to 49,000 vehicles pass the site each day. The surrounding Ellicott City retail market also reported limited vacancy in 2025. As a result, the corridor continues to attract strong demand despite a limited supply of available space.
