BWI Marshall Kicks Off 75^th Anniversary Festivities This Month
 
BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport turns 75 on June 24^th. In honor of this special milestone, we are curating Celebrating 75  — a series of pop-up festivities and special events that showcase the airport's development and importance over the past three-quarters of a century. 

We are kicking off the festivities this month with an event that honors the past and celebrates the future. Join us at the 2nd Annual Summer Fest at the Benson-Hammond House.

Bring your family and celebrate with us! Enjoy food vendors, live music, local crafts, kids activities, and contribute to our 75th anniversary time capsule. Also, attendees can take self-guided tours of the historic Benson-Hammond House.

Celebrating 75 commemorates the airport's history, starting from its dedication as Friendship International Airport and tracing its evolution through renaming and expansions. Upcoming events include:

• June 24, 2025 — Gate party for the 75th departing flight at BWI Marshall Airport
• July thru December 2025 — Pop-up Events at BWI Marshall Airport
• Fall 2025 — Dedication ceremony for historical road marker
